I keep thinking that each time I see fiddle heads at the market will be the last of the season, but their tightly curled deep green forms keep making their way into my market bag - happily I take them home and prep and ready them for the next meal - tonight I noticed that a few chive blossoms have appeared in the garden so a super salad of fiddleheads, fresh chives and brown rice with a splash of champagne vinegar a drizzle of fruity olive oil and plenty of fresh black pepper is on the table - it's simple and lovely and perfect for this warm Monday evening -
