A long, slow, polar #sunset illuminates a #mountain on the Antarctic Peninsula that I thought was named Pilcher Peak. Soon after I published a similar images in several magazines, a young Australian named Damien Gildea mounted an expedition to climb it and used this shot as their expedition logo. When they got there, though, #Pilcher Peak proved to be a higher, adjacent summit but they also climbed this mere satellite summit, which they jokingly named "Wiltsie's Peak." Since then Gildea has climb all over the continent and written the two most climbing definitive guidebooks about the continent, in which in which the name still appears. Having led or photographed over a dozen notable Antarctic expeditions, myself, I hope that it will stick! @damiengildea #antarctica #mountains
