I'm so excited to announce that the entertainment non-profit I cofounded with Kit Williamson this year, The New Hollywood LGBT, is starting a student filmmaker mentorship program! We're giving out small grants of $250-$1,000 to high school and college filmmakers working on projects with social justice themes, and we're going to be showcasing them at Brooklyn Web Fest in the fall!
Applications for grants are now open at www.thenewhollywoodLGBT.org and we're raising funds for the first round of grants through GoFundMe -- check it out and please throw a few dollars our way to support emerging voices!
