In exactly 30 days, @NMAAHC opens right next door to us. We can't wait to welcome the National Museum of African American History to the National Mall!
President Barack Obama and other dignitaries will dedicate the museum at an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, September 24, beginning at 9 a.m. The public is invited to gather on the Washington Monument grounds across the street from the museum to witness the ceremony on big screens and enjoy a three-day festival.
Admission to @NMAAHC is free, but you must have a timed pass to enter—for opening day and beyond. The passes and all essential visiting information will be available online at www.nmaahc.si.edu in the coming days.
