“The Wizard of Oz,” brought to you by the Technicolor Camera. This camera recorded an American classic, bringing you the Yellow Brick Road, Ruby Slippers, and Emerald City in dazzling shades. To make color positive print, the camera recorded on 3 separate negatives (red, blue and green) and then combined them. The beloved movie premiered on this date in 1939.
