Foodies, circle October 27-29 on your calendars. #SmithsonianFood History Festival is coming, featuring free cooking demonstrations by chefs you won't want to miss.
Who will we host on our demonstration kitchen stage? @doriegreenspan brings us "Cookies and Kindness," @ailsavond and @soulfoodscholar offer "The President's Kitchen," @mollyabirnbaum and @testcook blind us with science with "Cook's Science from America's @TestKitchen," Alice Randall and @caroranwill sooth us with "Soul Food Love," and @mrswheelbarrow serves up some warm "Potluck Politics." One important thing to know about the festival: there are no food tastings available at this festival; just food history! There are however, lots of things to do and if you do get hungry while visiting. The museum has a cafeteria on the lower level that will be serving an amazing spread of food by the museum's talented chef.
