Founded in 1992 by Russia’s most famous/infamous biker gang, the Night Wolves, Sexton is one of Moscow's most over-the-top nightclubs. Inside the club, walls have been built with giant pieces of machinery from ruined Soviet factories and the resulting ambience is a cross between Blade Runner and a gothic castle. At 3am and 4am nightly, rock stars, clad in heavy metal, play deafening music during elaborate pyrotechnic floorshows. The Night Wolves president, commonly known as the Surgeon, may be Russia’s most famous nationalist star and lists President Putin as a major supporter. Putin, who sometimes rides a trike motorcycle, has close ties to the biker gang, He has shown up at Night Wolves events and has, on occasion, visited the Sexton.
