@Robert Clark A sunset over Manhattan...As Hurricane Hermine blew in some strange clouds, I ran up the stairs to the roof top of my building to shoot some pictures. The sideways rain with its raindrops added a dream like quality to the image. The canyons of NYC are changing. Like "Concrete Weeds" there are more then thirty projects in the works that will rise over 1200 ft, most nearly 90 stories. The city is becoming the housing for the world's super rich. This can help explain the huge rise in rents in Brooklyn, where working class families were once able to buy a home, but now as the average rent for a two bedroom apartment is 3000.00 per month, that dream is less likely to be a reality as gentrification moves over the place I have called home for the last 22 years.
