The material for this piece was a challenge sent to #DavidEllsworth by fellow woodturner #MarkLindquist—what could he do with this "unworkable lump of wood"? After three months of pondering, Ellsworth was inspired by the simple form of a collapsable drinking cup and created this sculptural series.
