Photo: @ivankphoto // A few months back I began a mission to walk the entire 51 miles of the Los Angeles River. As the city embarks on the controversial journey to revitalize the river, I think it is important to document the wash as it is now. The focus will not only be the river, but more importantly, the lives of the people inhabiting the communities that surround the river and exist along its banks. From bowling alleys to backyard barbeques, and from hipsters to gangsters, the journey will celebrate the diversity of Los Angeles as well as explore themes of poverty, race, and social economic status in a time of change.
