Choosing wall colors for the studio space... So hard! A million decisions go into a project this size and I'm very indecisive as a person? The big shala is going to be gold-hued and the smaller one will be silver. Sol and Luna. These color swatches are shimmery and golden but came out pretty yellow in the photo...? Decisions, decisions!
The idea of all of this coming together makes me choke up with emotion. I try to imagine rolling my mat out in this room to teach for the first time... We are only weeks away but it feels absolutely surreal. Sometimes I wonder; how did this seed of an idea in my brain turn into all of this? A few years ago all I wanted to do was not wait tables anymore. I dreamt of traveling and teaching yoga. I taught my first classes on beach towels and if 5 people showed up I was over the moon with excitement. And now... This? Two companies with branches in four countries, five growing global brands, two non-profits - and counting? We directly employ 20 people and have over 30 on the team. Life is crazy!
The thing is: I've always considered everything possible. I have a mindset that makes manifesting crazy ideas possible because I genuinely believe there is no limit to what we can create when the intention is pure - and of course, when we work really, really hard. This didn't happen by chance or luck or privilege. I work my butt off every single day! Sometimes it all goes by so fast I forget that, actually, I dreamt about this once. Once, not too long ago, it was only a dream.

It's in moments like this, picking between shades of gold in a room that I designed in a building that I built with my husband on land that we own on an island I moved to because of love back when I had $50 to my name; a room that will soon be filled with people that will step on their mats to breathe and move and set intentions so similar to mine,
that I understand what a huge fucking accomplishment this all is. It's so big, I am in awe of it. I'm at a place where I've truly realized that I can do anything I set my mind to and it's magical. Believing in yourself is magical, people!
