Bayer an international leader in its sector in climate protection

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has once again rated Bayer as one of the leading international companies in the pharmaceuticals sector in regard to climate protection. In conducting its comparative study of the world’s 500 largest stock-market-listed companies, the CDP focused on their strategic approach to the challenges of climate change. Bayer was awarded CDP Leadership Status with an “A” rating, the highest given.

Bayer’s commitment combines measures for reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the development of resource-conserving products and solutions. The Group is pursuing its target of reducing specific greenhouse gas emissions by 15 percent by the year 2020 compared with 2012 levels, for example.
