How did we get our Japanese #Teahouse—which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year—from #Tokyo to #Philadelphia? Built in 1917, about ten years later it was taken apart, packed in five crates, and shipped from Yokohama. The crates arrived in Philadelphia in 1928, but it would be another three decades before they were opened.
