There’s a very special mood in Basel, where Bayer is currently expanding its presence. The Swiss city on the border to France and Germany is home to the headquarters of the Consumer Health Division and is also a significant site for the Pharmaceuticals Division.
Basel is now one of the most important cities for Bayer. 650 employees from more than 60 nations already work here today, and the headcount is expected to rise to 800 to 1,000 by 2019. The average age of the workforce is just 40, and men and women are equally represented.
