This 1883 medal went to Henry W. Higham, a high-wheel bicycle racer from Nottingham, England. He competed and won a 20-mile race in the U.S. against champion racer John S. Prince. His son, Harry Higham, donated the gold medal to the @スミソニアン博物館 in 1944. ?????????????
