Photo by @daviddoubilet A group of chinstrap penguins rest on a small iceberg called a "bergy bit" near Danko Island Antarctica. Chinstraps may leave their colony and swim up to 50+ miles off shore to find their meal of fish, squid or krill. Changing ice conditions and krill harvest increase these distances to locate food. This group of penguin watched me curiously and cautiously as I swam around their ice island determining if I was a predator to be avoided. Near Buffalo March 14?
