Lualua fuels up in Goma before the rough drive to the remote jungle town of Walikale, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The northern road from Goma to Walikale is known for being not only dangerous, due to various rebel activity in the territory, but often inaccessible by vehicle due to heavy rain and erosion, when sections of the road resemble an extreme off-road 4x4 course. Vehicles are often stalled for days, destroyed and/or abandoned along a road accessible only by motorbike or on foot.
