Over the past few years, @DrawingCenter has commissioned contemporary artists to create site-specific projects that push the boundaries of drawing as a medium. Currently on view in their Lab Corridor, #JackieFerrara’s “Lines” includes eight wall drawings that incorporate Morse code and architectural elements to reflect Ferrara’s life-long passion for film. Each work consists of curated lists of films the artist began compiling in 1993. Amongst the titles veiled in Morse code are a series of vampire and Sci Fi films. Visitors can decode each of the drawings with a key Ferrara has also drawn onto the corridor walls. Keep following #MuseumInstaSwap to catch more highlights from our visit to The Drawing Center.
