We've been working closely with artist #SusanHefuna, whose practice involves engaging with movement and performance. For the exhibition’s opening, Hefuna created a chalk drawing on the floor of the gallery where a selection of her work, including her “Notations” drawings (2011), is exhibited. Visitors had to literally walk on and across it, blurring the lines of white chalk as they moved through the exhibition. Only traces were left the next day, consistent with the artist’s perspective on the ephemeral: “a drawing has no nationality and has no time and space. It is its own universe.”
