Link in bio. “This photograph is part of Prop Roots Vol V, an oversized artist book and installation created for the exhibition ‘Imagining Eden’ (March 19–July 12, 2015) at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida. The goal was to explore the environmental and cultural experiences in the Everglades. ‘P’ worked nights at Circle K, a local gas station and convenience store. I often visited her there as well as at her home, where I took this picture. I can’t say what she escaped from, or how she ended up there, but P was emblematic of the many people I met in the Everglades– somewhat concealed in the dense landscape of marshes and mangroves.” PHOTO: Circle K Station.
