? Wednesday is kids day on our feed! Here is a detail of a bronze statuette made in France circa 1680 and depicting Silenus carrying the infant Dionysus. This work, which has been inspired by a famous Classical model, refers to the myth of Silenus being ordered by Zeus to spare Dionysus, his illegitimate son, from the wrath of his wife Hera by entrusting the infant to the nymphs.
