Every now and then I see a glimpse of my dad in her. He passed away in 1998 (cancer) so they never met. But this morning as she stood at the door and wondered out loud why there were so many guys standing around with no work getting done, I couldn’t help but laugh. Our street is being paved today, and my dad owned a paving business, so watching her act like she’s in charge is almost as if I’m hanging out with him today. I’m not sure if I’m more sad that she never got to meet him or that he never got to meet her, but I’m pretty sure they’ve got some super secret “bossy” connection anyway ❤️
