Mankind came a long way from caves and prehistoric rock art to exploring outerspace. Here the ever lasting rotating sky is captured in an hour-long exposure above a petroglyph showing a hunting scene some 10,000 years ago in Zagros Mountains of Iran. I tribute this image to the winners of 2017 Nobel prize in Physics, announced last week, for a 4-decade effort to detect gravitational waves, first predicted by Einstein a 100 years ago, and finally observed by LIGO project in the US. No one knows how our knowledge of this new form of information and energy transport across the universe will evolve human technology in far future. Some hardly understand how fantasy science ideas of physics and astronomy relates to our daily life. But look around you. Many of the technology we are depending on today is built on top of once-considered obscure science, from Laws of Gravity to Relativity and Quantum Physics. It's an adventurous future ahead of us.
