Mike and I got married in Sonoma for no other reason than it is one of the loveliest places we have ever been. We brought our family and friends all the way across the country so that they could experience it too. A few weeks ago, we went back for our ten year anniversary, visiting many of the same places we remembered from our wedding weekend— the wineries, the restaurants, the picnic spots, the farms... taking note of all the people who had chosen Napa and Sonoma as their place to retire. It seemed like an idyllic plan. We are so saddened by all the wildfires that have devastated and continue to devastate the area as well as other parts of California. We hope that the winds die down and the fires stop soon so that no more lives, homes and businesses are lost. We hope that this might add to the growing and heartbreaking evidence that climate change is real and needs our attention.
