I’m getting lasik eye surgery today! Purely because I never want to deal with contacts again. I don’t want to put them in. I don’t want to take them out. I don’t want to search for one that has dropped and disappeared into thin air only to discover it five days later when I step on a tiny cracked shriveled mess with my bare foot. I don’t want to put off getting new contacts and then realize one day too late that I have run out of contacts and then be told that I can’t just renew over the phone, I need to come in and get tested for a new prescription. I don’t want to bring my new boxes of contacts home only to feel like from the second I use the first two, I am on my way to running out again. And why do I always run out of left eye contacts way before right eye contacts when I put them both in at the same time every day? I also hate when I take out my contacts and then realize my glasses aren’t right next to me, so then I have to search my apartment for my glasses while I can’t see. Oh my god, I am so excited to never have to deal with contacts AGAIN.
