Took this photo of Luna the other day and just this morning noticed the giant orb located right at her heart. Do you see it? . I think in this lifetime, most of our work lies around returning to the simplicity of being a child. This week in our teacher training we are working on what it means to truly reside in our own bodies. We did a sharing yesterday on how we have perceived and judged our bodies in the past and hundreds of accounts of self criticism and self harm came up - not to mention the pain that surfaces together with the realization of how much time we spend disconnecting from our bodies (and our life source!). You don't have a body - YOU ARE YOUR BODY. It's an integral part of you. Hating it, judging it, harming it and living under the impression that it's not good enough is madness and the root cause of so much of the pain we experience in this lifetime. But it's also so common most of us don't even reflect on it anymore. Want to know the single best way to move through a moment of anxiety, worry, fear, sadness, panic - any kind of suffering? GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND INTO YOUR BODY. And not in the adult, structured way - spending an hour at the gym staring yourself in the mirror with your jaws clenched shut is not going to cut it. Sometimes even yoga can become a thing of the mind, something structured we move through on autopilot. When I say get back into your body what I mean is... Come back home. Move the way you used to when you were a child. Jump up and down on the spot making the funniest sound you can think of. Throw a 2-minute dance party in your living room. Run through the park, as fast as you can, with your arms flailing by your sides - not giving a single fuck. Shake it out! Move with playfulness, innocence, without a goal or a purpose. You can do it right here, right now. Separating from your body by letting the mind take the reigns is how we spiral into thought and through thought, inevitably, self-criticism. Living IN your body, anchored, present, here, now, is letting your heart lead the way. . If you're ever in doubt - trust that your body will tell you the truth. It knows. Now... Go have a badass wonder of a day!✨
