Thinking this morning about all the incredible men I’ve had the pleasure to work with and know here in Hollywood. The gentlemen the artists the fathers and the sons. The actor who graciously insisted on equality for me on set. The actor who distilled knowledge so gracefully and patiently to me. The producer who reminded me to be my own advocate . The producer who believed in me and lent me money before my first paycheck came in because he heard I was broke. The director who was such a gentlemen to me and every person on set no wonder the movie is so incredible. The director whose kindness on set often moved me to tears. The agent who cared about me and my family .
The father who when pressured to insist his wife schedule a c-section for the birth of their first born to accommodate shooting said no way .
I have felt supported and respected and protected by many men in Hollywood. I have learned so much from my brothers .
The dysfunction we see being outed now is like a detox and it sure does feel sickening at first to see it all and feel it all. Felt inspired today to honor the good men .
