putting the finishing touches on our table - i like to make a bit of a fuss for days like this - a few more layers and a few more candles than a normal thursday. Fruit and nuts and a few leaves and pods collected on my morning walk run down the table. Mixing in some more modern pieces with family heirlooms all with this lovely old house backdrop .

the sun will soon begin its decent and fires will be lit in the fireplaces and candlelight will replace daylight and we will all gather for this lovely celebratory meal
