It's sad to see that nothing has changed at Lake Haven Rescue since last year. ?? This Director is still having most of the kittens, young cats, and even older cats declawed BEFORE she puts them up for adoption. It's mind-boggling to see such willful ignorance with so many volunteers and cat adopters at Lake Haven Rescue, as you can see in these comments from last year. The first one is from a devoted LHR volunteer, the second comment is by the Director of Lake Haven Rescue, and the third is from someone who adopts cat from Lake Haven Rescue. We MUST continue to RESPECTFULLY educate the public, especially in Michigan, about the awful facts about declawing and how it ALWAYS harms the long term health and well-being of a cat and how it is very cruel and unnecessary. For some strange reason, most of the supporters of LHR seem to be stuck in the dark ages about declawing and think it is harmless to a cat.
