Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good
I was actually being redirected to something better. . . .

Here is a truth: you don’t have all the answers. What looks like a loss right now might just be a magnificent gain! I think of the times I thought that things didn’t go my way; that I missed out, lost an opportunity or failed. 9 times out of 10 I am grateful things happened the way they did. When I almost lost my entire business to a lying ex-partner it broke my heart - but I learned more lessons about how to protect myself in business and grew more as an entrepreneur in three months than I had done in the previous three whole years. I can honestly say I am grateful for it now. When we were just about so sign for a studio space we had worked on for months but had the rug pulled out from beneath us and lost it in the last moment I was so frustrated and disheartened - but the perfect property (in a much better location!) was right in front of us. We just hadn’t seen it yet! It would have been a colossal mistake to sign for the other space and I’m so thankful we have @island.yoga manifested in the most magical place.
Everything is purposeful. Especially the hard things! .

Right now I’m working through having “lost” a partnership that I was super excited about and also mourning a friendship that’s been irrevocably damaged. At this point in my life I’ve had enough hardships to understand that I don’t have to have all the answers. Failure hurts - of course. It’s supposed to. But I don’t have to lose my ground because of it. I can be patient and trust that something better is ahead and soon I’ll look back in gratitude. I’m not being rejected. Im just redirected. When I keep this mindset I get excited about of what’s ahead and the not-knowing actually fills me with hope and calm. .
