11 December 2017 :: @jimmy_chin leading the snow ramp pitch. The south faces are the cold aspects in the Southern Hemisphere. We had left the warmth of the sunny side and pitched camp. After a short respite Jimmy got after the next two pitches. The warmth of the sun at 2 AM was amazing. It was calm and the sun dipped below the thin layer of cirrus clouds that had been dogging us all day. While short on calories and long on cold, the spectacular location fired up our motivation. It’s moments like this, when your second wind lifts your soul, that make climbing special.
