Who wants to start their Friday off with baby Viktor and Mikhail??? Photos were taken at the #instituteofcytologyandgenetics in #novosibirsk as part of the #foxfarmproject .
The JABCECC founders have been working with the #ICG for over 5 years and have brought 5 Russian domesticated foxes into the US to be used as #fox #Ambassadors.
There are a few reasons why the center believes the #russiandomesticatedfoxes are more appropriate for Ambassador work and to have at our center. Due to their genetics, they allow for safer interactive educational events and encounters with people. In addition, these interactions do not stress the animal, as they can with Captive bred foxes.
The #Belyaev foxes also hold critical insight into domestication and in conjunction with our work with primitive dogs, can help shed light on human social bonding disorders, like #autism #spectrum #disorder #asd
