Saturday we spent the day with volunteers clearing some of the brush in the perimeter fence, so we can start working on enclosures. Of course, it was a gorgeous sunny day and of course the day started with seeing a huge rattlesnake!! Well, we all had to wait for Dave to arrive to get the longest snake stick EVER to secure this big bad rattler into a bucket for relocation! Made us grateful for the money we spent of adding snake fencing to our perimeter fences!!! The day was spent watching Zuri and Shaka be babies and that brought joy to all of us! Of course, sitting with all the foxes and giving them all love and attention was a priority for the day!! Cooper and Morgan stayed to help me feed, clean, and put everyone in for the night as we explored our beautiful property of 10acres. . We were reminded of all the amazing wildlife as we encountered lots of paw prints and various scat… trying to determine if it was mountain lion or coyote… yikes!! Once again being thankful for our 8ft 9 gauge, hot wired perimeter fence!!! . Today we spent the morning with Our Amazing Fox Experiences and then headed over to Fort Cross to support them at their annual Lilac Festival. This time we brought Lena, Sergei and Yuri… and clearly some animal was in season- because Sergei proceeded to act inappropriate with Lena and Yuri 🙄…. It made for an interesting day!! . Of course, we did the first introduction of the babies to Mikhail. It was a very short introduction where Mikhail was being held. Zuri did very good! We cannot wait to bring Nalla into our pack and give her so much love!! She is healing from a broken leg and will be arriving shortly!! .
