I’m so proud of my girl @ミーガン・マーチン and all the other competitors from this weekend’s @usaclimbing #usacbouldering championships! The evolution of this event is exciting to see! I remember my first time competing in Nationals Open Finals when I was 11 at @thespotgym in #co - this was before you had to be 16 to compete in the adult division. The style of the problems was so different; much more static and in my opinion emblematic of outdoor climbing. I can’t imagine the coordination that it takes for some of the problems now- I struggle with jump starts still ?
Ladies like my bestie Meagan inspire me to climb more dynamically and show me that crazy parkour like skills are possible on the #climbing wall! So neat! I can’t exactly relate these skills to big walls but at the same time, having more coordination and dynamicism always helps!
