We spent a lot of time on the route groveling through offwidths (cracks too wide to climb easily but too small to fit inside of) and squeeze chimneys w too many layers on, cleaning pitches of snow covered rock w a shovel and generally scrapping along. Not much rock star free climbing going on here, just blue collar grinding. We do however end up at a 5 star high camp that feels above our pay grade... exposed enough to be cool but wide enough that it doesn’t feel like we’re going to roll off into the abyss. Inside the tent @コンラッド・アンカー laughs about being stuck in a snow globe. Our shredded down jackets shoot 900 fill through the air every time we move.
