I realized yesterday that we hadn’t gone ice skating once all winter, so I finally took the girls on what turned out to be an unseasonably warm afternoon. You can’t tell from this pic but the rink was one big puddle. What we did was closer to water skiing than skating. Still, the girls had a blast. I was super nervous at first because I knew if one of them fell (which they would; we are no experts), their clothes would be soaked through. Harlow didn’t want to risk it (she’s only skated once before) so Mazzy pushed her around on the seal the whole time. Mazzy fell on her ass twice in the first two minutes. She drenched her pants and her coat. I was so proud of her for getting up, putting on a brave face, and saying, “It’s okay, Mom. I’m fine. This is fun!” It WAS really fun. Wet bums and all. ?⛸?⛸
