Today is an extra special day for me. It's my 35th birthday (which feels strange to say out loud—how can I be 35?!). It's also the anniversary of the day Ryan asked me out (for the second time)... when we were in high school. That night, we drove to Los Angeles in his gray Ford Ranger truck to go to a @blink-182 + @theataris concert with some of our friends. Ryan was the hottest guy in the world to me... but beyond that he was the kindest and most fun to be around too. So, of course I said yes when he asked me out. Here's one of the earliest pics we have together.. before IG and Facebook existed. ?

Back then, I was two years into being a vegetarian and he was 18 years into being a caveman. To this day, I don't know anyone who loves meat as much as my husband! Fast food burgers, BBQ steak, pulled pork, bacon, hot dogs, sausages... he loves it all! And I love him.⠀

Over the years we have sorta morphed into each others dietary lanes—I've enjoyed some bacon and he's enjoyed some green smoothies. Our differences couldn't stop us from falling in love AND it still doesn't stop me from loving those that eat different or think different than I do. You are my tribe, no matter how you eat..: and I love you all! Have a great friday! And happy twin birthday @whitneyenglish!!! ?
