Xinjiang is undergoing rapid development due to China's Belt and Road Initiative, which aims to reboot the ancient Silk Road through a trade and infrastructure network between Asia, Europe and Africa. @patwack, who photographed this scene, spent a total of two months in 2016 and 2017 documenting the changes that are engulfing the region.
