Before I became vegan carrot cake was my absolute guilty pleasure in life. Dropping dairy from my diet (as well as meat and fish since I became vegetarian aged 5) I thought I’d have to give up all of the treats I loved. I know veganism isn’t for everyone and I’m not here to preach, but leading a lifestyle that is cruelty free makes me feel so good inside and the health benefits of eating fresh and raw foods is an added bonus for my physique! It lifts my soul to see so many brands and restaurants embracing veganism and 2018 has seen the biggest uptake ever thanks to lifestyle initiatives such as Veganuary spending 30 days being dairy and meat free. We can all do with living healthier more active lifestyles and shifting excess fat to improve our health and life expectancy.
