Four of our hydro turbines power the plant, capable of capturing 23 billion gallons of flowing water for energy and storing excess energy from the grid when needed. But few people get to see these turbines in action. Lodged in the Swiss Alps, the plant is 5,900 feet above sea level and requires a trek to reach.
