Photo by @jasperdoest // Flamingo Bob joins DVM Odette Doest (@vetdoest) behind the steering wheel as she drives him to school where he will participate in an education program for Odette’s non-profit organisation Fundashon Dier en Onderwijs Cariben (@fdoccuracao). After flying into a hotel window, this flamingo was rescued by @vetdoest. During his recovery she discovered the flamingo had become habituated to humans early in his life and therefore couldn’t be released back into the wild. Which is why she made him an ambassador for @fdoccuracao, a local nonprofit to visit schools and other venues on Curaçao and help educate people the beauty and fragility of wildlife on the island.
