Refugees inspire me.

I realized this fully two years ago when I travelled to see @theirc programs in Serbia, and a little boy from Afghanistan told me to tell people to be kind to refugees.
My wife Kathryn is with me on this journey — which now finds us in Uganda. Her grandparents were refugees who fled Eastern Europe. They had the courage and strength to flee so that their children could have a better life. When we look into the eyes of the mothers and children we’ve met, we see the eyes of our grandparents. It never ceases to amaze me how resourceful, resilient and full of life these refugees manage to be in the face of unimaginable adversity.
