After spending the last years working on my mental strength in the water, I decided it was time to push my physical abilities. I just embarked on a two weeks training journey in Thailand to see what I could achieve. It will be a real challenge and I'm a bit nervous, but I'm also very excited. With a static (holding breath face down without moving) of 5:10 minutes and a depth of 48m/160ft to overcome, I'll try to put my body into extreme depths and see what I'll gain out of it both mentally and physically.
On this video, I'm doing an FRC (functional residual capacity) dive which is a dive after a passive exhale. It simulates pressure at depth in shallower water. We started the first two days with technique (body position and finning) and "shallow" technical dives at 35m/115ft.
