The @コス installation has long been a major draw at Milan’s Salone del Mobile. This year sees the fashion brand partner with the American artist @phillipksmith3, best known for his reflective outdoor installations set against expanses of desert landscape. Smith's installation occupies the open-air courtyard of the 16th century Palazzo Isimbardi. Titled Open Sky, it consists of a concrete shell with 34 angled panels, mirroring the Renaissance architecture and the heavens above. ‘Coming off the street and the insanity of Salone, you’d walk into the space, slow down and spend time watching the sky,’ he tells us. ‘It gives us a breath to remember what’s important’.
