"Its funny how many people head to the spot marked with the 'big X' to take their shot (being that X marks the spot!). They all end up with identical compositions. Yet if you look around, move away from the crowds, find your own spot, you might walk away with something different. This was the case when I was shooting this sunset in the hills of Perth, and the time taken to find another view paid off. Using a Nikon D810 with Nikon 20mm f1.8 mounted on a tripod, I set it low to the ground and in a position to draw the viewer in. An aperture of f/16 and the limited light gave me a long enough exposure to blur the water and add an ethereal feel to the image." - @davidashleyphotos
