I decided not to retouch our podcast art for Wabi Sabi either —- bc those freckles and smile lines, those “pochis”, as we call them in Japanese are just part of you! Being a mixed kid, a child of war —is also a big theme we will open up on. There’s so much shame, confusion + and guilt we never talk about.
Another —-I have the same body issues as you... We live in a world of material, external, fame, money, fortune, & these things are not of great importance.
Being a real friend, an honorable daughter, a servant to others, reminding you of different lenses we can all look through as well. Tradition, culture, heritage, food, living!
I also want to share, I’ll be heading off to Italia ?? tomorrow, to study places like Sardinia & the secrets to living happy and being loved.
Being a mixed kid, this world may need to hear from us. We have so much more in common than we do different. Universally, love, a smile, laughter, good food, community and spending time with those you love, that is the secret to well. Xx ? ck
