There’s a new sculpture by Donald Lipski in Manhattan— his name is Spot and he’s a 38 foot Dalmatian with a real taxi balancing on his nose. Fun fact! The wind shield wipers turn on when it rains. Spot sits outside the brand new Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital of @NYULangone. I had the privilege of touring it today before it opens on June 24th. I have to tell you. It blew me away. It has a combination of state of the art technology (huge interactive flat screens in private rooms with medicine dispensing robots!) and a major focus on creating a space that is both comfortable for kids and their families. There’s an entire non-clinical floor dedicated just to play! NYU believes that family support and a playful environment is an important part of any treatment. Watch the tour on my story!
