Household Air Pollution (HAP) claims 4.3 million lives every year….more than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. It is the number one killer of women and children in the developing world and the majority of this air pollution comes from the burning of wood and inefficient fossil fuels for cooking, heating and lighting.
