The Cavern
On the road between #Tamanrasset and the plain of #Assekrem, natural grottos provide a haven for shepherds and their herds, and the odd traveler who might stop for a break.
As I observed this man’s solitude, I found my own, that of the traveler who bears witness, as I traversed Algeria for weeks in the course of making a book about this magnificent and little-known country.
