Photos by @taylorglenn // A series of images showing local fisherman at the remote Curio Point on Lord Howe Island, Australia. While exploring and shooting landscapes of the incredible coastline, I stumbled upon these gentlemen searching for a few fish to bring home for dinner. One of them was using a hand-line and told me that it’s pretty rare anyone will use this method nowadays, yet he was set on keeping the tradition alive as it was passed on to him. During the few minutes I had with them they landed a small shark (which they promptly returned to the sea) and a gorgeous yellowtail (which probably fed a few people later that day). It was great fun watching them navigate the slick, rocky shoreline and battering waves. The greatest gifts of travel are the unexpected moments you witness and the wonderful people you meet along the way.
